1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple; the rewards are priceless.

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library is pleased to offer 1000 Books Before Kindergarten to encourage you to read with your child and to provide incentives and fun as you do it.

It isn’t as hard as it sounds.

• One book a night together = 365 books in a year
• One book a night together for three years = over 1000 books

How to Participate:

1. Register your child at the library (either in Findlay, Arlington Branch, or the Bookmobile).
2. For each book read, fill in the fox OR write the title (and yes, you can repeat titles).
3. For every 100 books, return your logging form to the library. Your child can choose a prize from the prize box, receive a milestone sticker, and have their picture taken for the wall of 1000 Books readers.
4. When you reach 1000 books, your child will receive a book, a milestone sticker, a certificate of completion, a yard sign, and have their picture taken for the wall of 1000 Books readers.
5. Enjoy the rewards of raising a lifelong reader!
